2026 Preliminary Voters List Released Territory-Wide
The Office of the Supervisor of Elections has released the 2026 Preliminary List, featuring 16,553 registered voters across the Territory's nine electoral districts. Residents are encouraged to review the list at 51 physical locations or online to confirm their details are accurate. A formal claims and objections period will run from September 7 to September 18, 2026.
The Office of the Supervisor of Elections has officially published the 2026 Preliminary List of voters for the Virgin Islands, making it available for public inspection in accordance with section 18(5) of the Elections Act, Revised Laws of the Virgin Islands, 2013. The preliminary document reflects a total of 16,553 registered voters spread across the Territory’s nine electoral districts.
Supervisor of Elections Carlene Herbert is urging all registered residents to carefully examine the list to ensure their voter records are up to date and accurate ahead of final list revisions. According to Herbert, the annual review process plays a critical role in preserving democratic transparency and administrative accuracy.
The review gives voters a direct opportunity to verify their personal information, while assisting election officials in spotting and correcting potential errors so the Territory's voter registry remains precise throughout the year. To make inspection as accessible as possible, the Preliminary List has been distributed to 51 designated physical locations throughout the Virgin Islands.
These include local supermarkets, medical clinics, restaurants, bars and grills, retail stores, government administration complexes, and the Terrance B. Residents can also access and review the digital version of the list online by visiting the official government portal at gov.vg/office-supervisor-elections.
Registered voters who identify errors, omissions, or other discrepancies are advised that a formal window for submissions will open from September 7th to September 18th, 2026. Individuals seeking to correct their own name, address, or occupation, or who have been erroneously omitted, must file their request using Form No. 3.
Anyone wishing to formally object to the inclusion of another person on the list must submit Form No. 4. All claims and objections must be delivered to the Office of the Supervisor of Elections, located in the Creque Building at #216 Upper Main Street in Road Town, Tortola.
