From the fashion and photography to sailing through the islands, every moment was a celebration of beauty, creativity and positive energy," said Stewart in a recent statement released by Summer Sizzle. Stewart was the celebrity host of the territory’s premier fashion event from 15–20 July, which brought local and international designers to the runway in the sailing capital.
Fashion was one part of an itinerary that also took the actress beyond the runway and cameras. The star of the Netflix series, produced by Tyler Perry and now in its third season, took part in a private sailing excursion to Virgin Gorda, including a visit to the Baths and lunch at Top of the Baths. "I’m so grateful to Summer Sizzle BVI for such an unforgettable experience,” she shared.
Stewart, the Miss USA 2008 winner, also shared moments from her trip with her substantial social media following, reaching an audience of nearly 5.6 million, with more than 2.6 million unique interactions. Terry Donovan, Founder and CEO of Summer Sizzle BVI, said: “Crystle was the perfect celebrity host for Summer Sizzle BVI,” adding: “Her star power, her connection to Beauty in Black, and her genuine appreciation for the British Virgin Islands helped bring an incredible international spotlight to the destination.” Her visit also provided a showcase for Caribbean fashion, with the actress wearing a look by local designer Andrea Wilson for a photoshoot following the event.
She wore a piece from Wilson’s Eruption Collection — a gold and blue ripped maxi skirt paired with a matching hooded top featuring a deep V-cut front, along with a gold bikini — for the shoot at Long Bay Beach Resort in the West End of Tortola. The actress was photographed by acclaimed New York City photographer Michael William Paul, with the shoot produced by MWP Studios. “She looks stunning," shared designer Andrea Wilson. "The look captures the essence of Caribbean glamour.

Founded in 2009, Summer Sizzle BVI has developed into a platform for emerging and established designers, models, creatives and international talent, while also promoting tourism and destination awareness. The event brings together fashion, music, art, culture, entertainment and tourism, with the British Virgin Islands providing the setting for a week that combines the region’s creative talent with its appeal as a Caribbean destination.
