The British Virgin Islands is making its mark on the regional football stage as local match officials Guillaume Parkins and Jermaine May represent the Territory at the Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games in Santiago, Dominican Republic. The multisport competition is taking place from July 27 through August 7.
According to the BVI Football Association (BVIFA), Parkins, who serves as an accredited BVI Assistant FIFA Referee, continues to build an impressive international resume. His appointment to the CAC Games follows a string of high-profile regional assignments, including officiating duties at the CONCACAF Under-20 World Cup Qualifiers in Curaçao, the Dallas Cup in Texas, and the Super 4 Tournament in Anguilla.
Football officials noted that Parkins' regular selection on the international circuit reflects his consistent performances on the pitch and demonstrates CONCACAF’s ongoing confidence in his development as one of the Caribbean’s most promising assistant referees. Joining him in the Dominican Republic is Jermaine May, an accredited CONCACAF Referee Instructor.
