The British Virgin Islands recently capped a focused UK activation with a high-profile presence at World Travel Market (WTM) London, culminating in a signature gastronomic reception and a strategic meeting of the Territory’s UK and European agencies, according to a press release from the BVI Tourist Board & Film Commission (BVITBFC).

Led by Deputy Director of Tourism Natasha J. Chalwell and supported by the BVITBFC UK business development team — Odelcer Hanley (General Manager), Kyle I. Harrigan (Business Development Representative) and Myrvina Jeria (Administrative Coordinator) — the programme combined trade outreach, media engagement and product promotion aimed at boosting BVI visibility among luxury travel buyers.

From October 27–29 the BVITBFC ran a BVI Luxury Roadshow across Bristol, Chester and London, hosting luxury dinners that brought together more than 100 high-end travel agents and tour operators. Venues included The Bristol Hotel, The Chester Grosvenor and JW Marriott Grosvenor House London.

Presentations from the BVITBFC were made alongside leading BVI industry partners such as Bitter End Yacht Club, Guana Island, Oil Nut Bay and Peter Island Resort. Each evening finished with a lively VI quiz and destination-themed prizes. "Our primary goal was to reconnect with key travel trade partners and reinforce awareness of the British Virgin Islands," Deputy Director Chalwell said. "We were pleased with the strong turnout, the high level of engagement, and the enthusiasm shown for including the BVI in Caribbean product offerings." With all partners in London for WTM, Chalwell also convened an in-person meeting of the VI’s UK and European agencies on November 3.

The gathering reviewed 2025 regional marketing performance, discussed challenges and successes, and aligned on major initiatives and collaborative strategies for 2026 and beyond. On November 4 the BVITBFC hosted an intimate BVI Gastronomic Reception at BVI House London. The evening featured a guided tasting of Arundel Cane Rum by Matthew Callwood of Callwood Rum Distillery and dishes by London-based BVI caterer Nyammin’ — including patties, peas soup shooters, dumb bread with saltfish, curried cauliflower fritters and a BVI Rum Cake made with Arundel Cane Rum.

Lettsome, the BVI Olympian (sailing) based in the UK, spoke about the Territory’s sailing culture. Guests left with curated gift bags containing mini bottles of Arundel Cane Rum and mementoes. For residents in the BVI, the campaign signals continued international engagement to drive high-end tourism bookings, sustain key industry partnerships and raise the profile of local products and experiences overseas.
