The British Virgin Islands Electricity Corporation (BVIEC) has announced an opening for a Multimedia Assistant to join its public relations and communications team. The territory's primary power provider is seeking a creative, design-driven, and tech-savvy professional to help produce, manage, and distribute visual content for internal and external audiences.
Reporting directly to the Public Relations, Marketing, and Media Manager, the Multimedia Assistant will play an active role in strengthening the corporation's public outreach and brand visibility. Primary duties include capturing photography, producing and editing video content, designing infographics and publications, and managing BVIEC’s official website and social media channels.
The successful applicant will also assist with livestreams, set up equipment for public events, coordinate media archives, and travel to the Sister Islands to support corporate initiatives when required. To qualify for the post, candidates must hold an Associate Degree in multimedia production, communication, graphic design, or an equivalent field, alongside at least one year of practical experience in multimedia production.
BVIEC is seeking individuals proficient with DSLR camera equipment, lighting, and audio gear, as well as industry-standard software such as the Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and web content management systems. Strong interpersonal, written, and organizational skills, along with a firm commitment to professional confidentiality, are also required.
