Bvihsa Unveils Updated Strategic Plan
The BVI Health Services Authority has received the updated 2025–2033 Strategic Plan from KPMG, marking the shift into Phase Two: Implementation of its long-term transformation roadmap. The Authority is launching a public-facing webpage and territory-wide community meetings — the first on December 11, 2025 in Virgin Gorda — to keep residents informed and engaged.
The BVI Health Services Authority (BVIHSA) has formally received an updated 2025–2033 Strategic Plan from global advisory firm KPMG, signalling the start of Phase Two: Implementation of the Authority’s long-term transformation roadmap. Phase One focused on developing the plan. KPMG carried out an additional review after recommendations from the Ministry of Health and Social Development and other stakeholders required explicit incorporation into the final document, as well as several minor layout refinements.
That work prompted the formal handover now announced by BVIHSA leadership. Since October, the Authority and KPMG have already reached several implementation milestones: 1. Two leadership trainings covering strategy implementation, steering committee functions, change management and monitoring & evaluation 3.
Preparation of briefing materials for BVIHSA Ambassadors on the revised Strategic Plan and governance structure Behind the scenes, KPMG prepared and circulated the Terms of Reference for the Strategy Implementation Steering Committee and conducted stakeholder interviews with HR and functional leads as part of a current‑state assessment of HR processes.
Those steps are designed to establish governance, accountability and the operational foundations needed for rolling out reforms across the Territory’s health services. As part of a commitment to greater transparency and two‑way communication, BVIHSA has launched a dedicated Strategic Plan page on its website (www.bvihsa.vg).
The page will host the updated plan and provide ongoing implementation updates so residents, staff and partners can track progress. To ensure community input shapes execution, the Authority will hold a series of territory‑wide meetings. The first will take place on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at St.
