Local Students Shine in Csec 2025 Examinations
Three exceptional students from the British Virgin Islands have been recognized as the top performers in the 2025 Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) exams. The British Virgin Islands community is celebrating the remarkable achievements of three local students in the 2025 Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) examinations. The Ministry of Education revealed the top performers on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, highlighting the territory's academic talents.
Leading the pack, with an impressive nine Grade Ones and a Grade Two, is a student from the BVI Seventh Day Adventist School, followed closely by her best friend and classmate, and Keischel R.A. Aquino from St George’s Secondary School securing the third position. A total of 412 candidates participated in the June 2025 CSEC exams, demonstrating the territory's growing commitment to academic achievement.
The top students shared their journey to success, emphasizing the role of hard work, divine guidance, and the support of friends, family, and teachers. The first-place student, who is now pursuing a degree in Biology with an emphasis in Biomedical Studies, credits her success to a close-knit support system and a shared motivation with her best friend.
Similarly, the second-place student, now studying for an Associate’s Degree in General Science, believes in the power of surrounding oneself with like-minded, academically focused individuals.
