The Rotary Club of Central Tortola has officially launched its 2026 Annual Car Raffle, marking the return of one of its signature fundraising initiatives after a one-year hiatus. This year, participants have the opportunity to win a brand-new BAIC BJ40 PLUS sport utility vehicle while contributing directly to civic improvement across the British Virgin Islands.
Jean highlighted the broader purpose of the initiative, emphasizing that the raffle is fundamentally about community empowerment. She noted that every ticket purchased represents a meaningful investment in local outreach, funding essential charitable projects and service programs that assist vulnerable residents throughout the Territory.
Jean reiterated the Rotary motto of Service Above Self, calling on the public to actively participate and rally coworkers, friends, and family to support the cause. Tickets are priced at $10 each, making the fundraiser accessible to a wide cross-section of the community. To increase excitement leading up to the final drawing, the club will host four early bird drawings throughout the autumn.
Each early bird draw will award a cash prize of $1,000, scheduled for October 23, November 13, November 27, and December 11. Organizers confirmed that winning tickets from the early bird drawings will remain in the pool for the grand prize vehicle draw on December 19, giving early participants multiple chances to win.
Raffle tickets are currently available at numerous convenient locations across the Territory. Members of the public can purchase tickets at NAGICO offices on Tortola and Virgin Gorda, Tortola Auto Group and Carquest in Slaney, Mi Amor and House of Luxury at the Tortola Pier Park, Original NY Pizza in Fish Bay, Captain Mulligan's in Nanny Cay, and directly from members of the Rotary Club of Central Tortola.
