Community Centre Booking Guidance
The Social Development Department has issued an updated advisory on the current operational status and booking procedures for Community Centres across the British Virgin Islands, confirming that a number of centres are open and available for use. Residents are reminded of application requirements — including a completed Community Centre Request Application Form, a refundable $50 cleaning deposit and valid government ID — and should consult the Government of the Virgin Islands website or contact the Department for the latest list of open facilities and any additional documentation required for NPOs or free events (BVI Government).
The Social Development Department has issued an updated notice to the public on the operational status and booking procedures for Community Centres across the British Virgin Islands (BVI Government). According to the Department's release, a number of Community Centres are currently open and available for use.
The release includes an up-to-date list of centres; however, because availability can change, residents seeking the specific centres that are open and their current availability should consult the Government of the Virgin Islands website or contact the Social Development Department directly for confirmation (BVI Government).
All persons wishing to use a Community Centre must complete a Community Centre Request Application Form and submit a refundable cleaning deposit of $50. Applications must be accompanied by a valid government-issued identification card. These requirements were reiterated in the Department's recent advisory to ensure consistent, safe and orderly use of public facilities (BVI Government).
Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs) and persons hosting free community events are required to submit additional documentation. The Department's notice asks applicants in these categories to contact the Social Development Department for guidance on the specific paperwork and any supporting documents required before submitting an application (BVI Government).

Once an application is received, the Department will review the request and advise applicants of any applicable fees, as well as any rules, conditions or limitations associated with the requested facility.
