CTL Hosts Annual Tools Builders Expo
CTL Home Center is hosting its 3rd Annual Tools and Builders EXPO at Fish Bay on Tortola, bringing together around 30 industry experts with local builders and homeowners. The event will showcase innovative tools, hurricane-resilient building products, and hazard vulnerability assessments from the Department of Disaster Management. Special ferry fares and shuttle services are also arranged for Virgin Gorda residents attending the event.
CTL Home Center is preparing to host its third annual Tools & Builders EXPO on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at its Fish Bay location on Tortola. The event will bring together approximately 30 industry experts and brand representatives to connect directly with local contractors, builders, homeowners, business operators, and DIY enthusiasts across the Virgin Islands.
Running from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the expo provides attendees with direct access to trending construction products, sustainable solutions, top-brand power tools, and hurricane-resilient building materials. Visitors will have the opportunity to consult directly with product specialists to discuss practical solutions tailored to the Virgin Islands climate and building standards.
Michael Thomas, Managing Director of CTL Home Center, emphasized that the event goes beyond simple product displays. He noted that the expo is designed to deliver genuine value to both industry professionals and property owners by allowing them to ask detailed questions, explore emerging construction techniques, and see tools demonstrated in real time.
A key addition to this year's event is the participation of the BVI Department of Disaster Management (DDM). The department will showcase its Hazard Vulnerability Assessment tool, which helps property owners and contractors identify site-specific hazard threats before breaking ground.
This initiative aims to assist residents in safeguarding their investments against environmental and climate-related risks. In addition to technical exhibits, the event includes several customer incentives, featuring over 20 raffle giveaways such as Makita power tools, Vego raised garden beds, a Terra mix concrete mixer, and Toledo security locks.
Attendees can earn raffle tickets through event participation and attendance. Organizers have also arranged travel logistics to accommodate sister island residents. Virgin Gorda customers can access a special reduced fare on Speedy's ferry service alongside complimentary shuttle transportation directly to and from the Fish Bay store.
