Jae'Nyiah Defreitas captured the 2026 Virgin Islands Emancipation Festival Princess crown after an impressive display at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex. Xae'mouri Harrigan took the Prince title, while Sariah Smith finished as First Runner-Up in the highly anticipated youth competition.
Jae'Nyiah Defreitas emerged victorious at the 2026 Festival Prince and Princess Pageant, taking home the coveted Princess crown during an energetic showcase held at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex in Road Town. The annual youth competition, held under the theme 'Wild Spirits, Rooted in Heritage', served as one of the hallmark opening events for the 2026 Virgin Islands Emancipation Festival.
Defreitas delivered a standout performance throughout the evening, capturing multiple sectional awards including Miss Congeniality, Best Ambassadorial Costume, Best in Talent, and Best Evening Wear. The newly crowned Princess is no stranger to the spotlight or pageantry success, having previously won the 2025 Virgin Gorda Easter Festival Princess title and the inaugural 2024 FLPS Angel of Christmas crown.
In the Prince category, Xae'mouri Harrigan of Alexandrina Maduro Primary School was officially crowned the 2026 Prince as the sole male contestant in this year's competition, earning enthusiastic support from the audience as he accepted the title.
