In its wake, a drier and more stable airmass is establishing itself across the northeastern Caribbean, effectively restricting any widespread or significant rainfall over the local islands during the next 24 hours.
According to the daily forecast issued by the Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Services and distributed locally by the Department of Disaster Management, today's weather will be characterised by partly cloudy and hazy skies. A moderate 60 percent chance of brief passing showers remains in place through the morning hours, though these showers are expected to be short-lived and cause minimal disruption to daily commutes and outdoor activities.
Tonight, atmospheric conditions will remain relatively quiet. The forecast calls for fair to partly cloudy skies with lingering haze, alongside a reduced 40 percent chance of brief overnight showers. Easterly winds are expected to blow at speeds between 7 and 18 miles per hour (11 to 30 kilometres per hour), with lighter spells developing at times.
For the local marine community, including ferry operators, fishers, and recreational boaters, coastal waters are expected to remain in moderate shape. Wave heights are predicted to range between 3 and 5 feet (1 to 1.5 metres). While no marine warnings are currently in effect, small craft operators are always advised to practice caution and remain mindful of fluctuating localized wind patterns.
