East End Police Station Remains Closed
The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) has extended the closure of the East End Police Station while interior renovation works continue. From Monday, July 13, officers will operate temporarily from the East End/Long Look Community Centre and will maintain regular patrols; residents can contact officers at 368-9415 or via the Non-Emergency number 311.
The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) has extended the closure of the East End Police Station until further notice as interior renovation works continue. The station was initially closed on May 29, 2026, for an expected period of one month. In an update on July 10, 2026, the RVIPF said that additional upgrade work remains necessary and that staff must vacate the building while the renovations are completed.
The force apologised for any inconvenience and thanked the public for their patience and cooperation. To ensure policing services remain accessible to residents of the East End, the RVIPF has arranged a temporary operating base in partnership with District 8 Representative Hon. Penn, Minister for Health and Social Development Hon.
Wheatley (R9), and the Department of Social Development. Effective Monday, July 13, 2026, officers assigned to the East End Policing District will be temporarily based at the East End/Long Look Community Centre. Members of the public may visit the community centre to report incidents, seek assistance, or speak with officers.
In addition to this temporary public counter, officers will continue regular patrols throughout the East End to maintain public safety and visibility in the community. Residents who require immediate police assistance are asked to contact officers directly at 368-9415 or use the Non-Emergency number, 311.
The RVIPF encouraged the public to use these channels while the station remains closed and reiterated its commitment to maintaining crime prevention and response services in the district. Wheatley, the Ministry of Health and Social Development, and the Department of Social Development for their collaboration in arranging the temporary location and supporting continued policing services.
The RVIPF has not provided a firm reopening date for the East End Police Station. Officials say the closure will remain in effect until renovation works are complete and it is safe for staff to return. Residents are advised to monitor official RVIPF communications for further updates and any changes to temporary arrangements.
This temporary relocation is intended to minimise disruption to policing services while improving the station’s interior facilities for staff and the community once works are finished.
