BVI Live understands a physical altercation between a female teacher and a female student occurred inside an Elmore Stoutt High School (ESHS) classroom earlier this week, an incident that has renewed concerns about student behaviour across the territory. Sources indicate the dispute began when the teacher asked the student to remove accessories not part of the school uniform.
The student reportedly refused to comply and was told to leave the classroom and proceed to the school office. As the student left, she is alleged to have brushed past the teacher, triggering a verbal exchange that quickly escalated into a physical confrontation. According to accounts reaching our newsroom, the student allegedly pushed the teacher several times and struck her on the head.
The teacher reportedly reacted, and a struggle followed in which the student is alleged to have grabbed the teacher’s hair. Other teachers and school security intervened and the two were separated after a brief but forceful scuffle. The teacher was seen with a visible bump to the head; it is not clear whether she sought or received medical treatment.
