Prominent Virgin Islands business leader and public official Kevin S. Fahie is set to make history as the first Virgin Islander to be featured as a speaker at the prestigious Progressism Summit in Dominica. The 5th Annual Progressism Summit & Experience is scheduled to take place on Sunday, January 11, 2026.
Guided by the theme "Bridging Caribbean and African Brilliance: Progress Without Borders," the high-profile gathering aims to connect professionals, entrepreneurs, and leaders across the Caribbean, Africa, and the wider diaspora. The summit offers attendees a dynamic platform for networking, empowerment, and strategic goal setting with a global outlook.
Founder of The Progressive Mind and event organizer Lizra Fabien expressed strong enthusiasm regarding Fahie's participation, emphasizing the value of having Virgin Islands representation on stage. She noted that Fahie's leadership in advancing entrepreneurship, innovation, and regional connectivity exemplifies the core values of the summit, which emphasizes bold thinking and actionable progress.
Fahie will be a featured panelist in the summit's Power Talk segment, where speakers will address the crucial topic of breaking barriers. Fahie brings a wealth of executive leadership and public service experience to the international stage. In the Virgin Islands, he currently serves as the Interim Chairman of the BVI Airports Authority (BVIAA), a post he stepped into in September 2025 following the tenure of Theodore E.
Before his appointment as Interim Chairman, Fahie served as a BVIAA board member and Deputy Chairman beginning in 2022. Alongside his public sector responsibilities, Fahie has built an extensive career in the private sector. He has served as the General Manager of major wholesale distributor Caribbean Cellars since December 2016, having previously risen through the ranks in roles including Commercial Manager, Marketing Manager, and Beverage Brand Manager.
A graduate of California State University—Northridge and Central Arizona College, Fahie’s inclusion at the summit reflects the growing influence of Virgin Islands professionals in shaping discussions surrounding regional collaboration, trade, and economic resilience.
