A woman was found unresponsive at a home in the McNamara area sometime after 6:00 PM on Monday, July 20, 2026, and was pronounced dead at the scene, the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) has confirmed. The RVIPF initially declined to release the woman’s identity and said officers were not seeking anyone in connection with the incident.

VINO further reported that the woman was allegedly found suspended from the top corner of her bedroom and that a white electrical cord was found around her neck, leading investigators to consider the possibility of suicide. According to VINO, and citing a person close to the investigation, a handwritten note on a yellow notepad was also recovered at the scene.
