FirstBank Adds 24-Hour Atm at Beef Island
FirstBank has installed a 24-hour ATM at Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport on Beef Island, offering arrivals and departing passengers round-the-clock access to cash and basic account services. The bank says the move is part of an ongoing investment in the BVI and is supported by its digital and mobile banking options.
FirstBank has expanded its presence in the British Virgin Islands with a new 24-hour ATM at Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport on Beef Island. Located in the external area between arrivals and departures, the machine aims to provide convenient, around-the-clock access to cash withdrawals and balance checks for both residents and visitors. “This installation reflects our ongoing commitment to offering convenient banking across the territory.
Lettsome International Airport is a way in which we can improve the customer experience of both BVI residents and visiting travelers,” said Amory Jervis, Vice President and BVI Market Manager at FirstBank. According to FirstBank, its ATM is the only machine at the airport that gives travellers and members of the public 24-hour access to their accounts.
That availability can be particularly valuable for passengers arriving on late flights or departing early, when other banking options and branch hours may be limited. For local residents the machine adds another accessible point for cash needs — useful for everyday transactions in the Territory where cash is still widely used for taxis, small businesses and market purchases.
Tourists and business travellers also benefit, as on-the-spot access to local currency can reduce delays and inconvenience at check-in, car rental and other services tied to travel schedules. FirstBank said the new ATM complements its growing digital offering. Digital and mobile banking solutions allow customers to manage accounts, transfer funds and monitor balances from anywhere, providing additional flexibility alongside the physical ATM network. “This is just one more positive step in our BVI story.
We will continue to invest in this community to extend more personal finance services delivering added convenience to our customer base here,” Jervis added. The airport ATM is the latest addition to FirstBank’s local network. The bank already operates ATMs at Nanny Cay, the Road Town Ferry Terminal and its Road Town branch, providing multiple touchpoints across Tortola for both residents and visitors.
As the Territory continues to welcome travellers throughout the year, the new Beef Island ATM is intended to make short stays and travel logistics smoother by ensuring reliable access to cash at a key entry point to the BVI.
