Government Seeks Cleaners for Great Harbour
The Government of the Virgin Islands is inviting bids for a one-year contract to provide daily cleaning services at the public restroom facility in Great Harbour, Jost Van Dyke. Tenders must be submitted by 4:00 p.m. on 28 August 2026 and include specified supporting documents and licences.
The Government of the Virgin Islands has issued a request for proposals to hire a contractor to clean and maintain the public restroom facility at Great Harbour, Jost Van Dyke, for a one-year period. According to the notice, the successful contractor will be required to open the facility daily at 7:00 a.m. and close it at 7:00 p.m., including weekends and public holidays.
Responsibilities include supplying and maintaining cleaning equipment (brooms, mops, buckets, brushes, dustpans), providing cleaning agents, and stocking consumables such as garbage liners, hand soap, hand towels and toilet tissue. Daily sweeping and washing of floors and the cleaning and sanitisation of toilet cubicles—including toilets, urinals, floors and walls—are specifically listed.
Interested tenderers must submit a quotation and contact information (address, email and phone number) and include the following supporting documentation: Valid Trade Licence for 2026 for cleaning/maintenance services Certificates of Good Standing from the Inland Revenue Department, Social Security Board and National Health Insurance Company Registry certificate, if the bidder is an incorporated company List of similar jobs completed The notice cautions that failure to enclose the required supporting documents will render a tender non-responsive on the closing date.
All tenders must be hand-delivered to the Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources and Climate Change at #44 Pusser’s Building, Lower Estate, Road Town, Tortola, or sent in a non-editable format by email to the Permanent Secretary at menrcc@gov.vg. The filename and email subject line must include the applicant’s name and the title: CLEANING SERVICES FOR RESTROOM FACILITY AT GREAT HARBOUR, JOST VAN DYKE, VIRGIN ISLANDS.
Submissions are due no later than 4:00 p.m. on 28 August 2026; late proposals will not be accepted. The Government of the Virgin Islands said it does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
