Government Seeks Long Bay Restroom Cleaners
The Government of the Virgin Islands has opened a one-year tender for cleaning services at the public restroom facility at Long Bay, Beef Island, with submissions due by 4:00 p.m. on 28 April 2026. The tender, announced by the BVI Government, requires daily opening and closing of the facility, provision of cleaning equipment, and a full set of supporting documents including 2026 trade licence and certificates of good standing.
The Government of the Virgin Islands is inviting bids to provide cleaning services for the public restroom facility at Long Bay on Beef Island for a one-year contract, the BVI Government has announced. According to the official tender notice, the successful contractor will be responsible for opening the restroom daily at 7:00 a.m. and closing it at 7:00 p.m., including weekends and public holidays.
The scope of work includes routine cleaning and maintenance and the contractor must supply all necessary cleaning equipment, including but not limited to brooms, mops, buckets, brushes and dustpans. Interested tenderers must submit a quotation and provide contact information (address, email and telephone), a valid trade licence for 2026 for cleaning/maintenance services, and a list of previous jobs of a similar nature.
The notice, issued by the Government of the Virgin Islands, also requires certificates of good standing from the Inland Revenue Department, the Social Security Board and the National Health Insurance, and a Company Registry certificate if the bidder is an incorporated company. The tender warning is explicit: failure to enclose the listed supporting documentation will render a bid non-responsive on the deadline date of 28 April 2026.
All tenders must be submitted no later than 4:00 p.m. on 28 April 2026; late submissions will not be accepted. Tenders may be hand-delivered to the Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources and Climate Change at #44 Pusser’s Building, Lower Estate, Road Town, Tortola. Electronic submissions are permitted by email in a non-editable format to the Permanent Secretary at menrcc@gov.vg.
