Government Seeks Parliamentary Policy Advisor
The Government of the Virgin Islands is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for a 12-month Parliamentary Policy Advisor/Consultant to support reform of the House of Assembly. Applicants must submit EOIs in a non-editable format to the Clerk by 30 January 2026; late submissions will not be accepted.
The Government of the Virgin Islands, through the Office of the House of Assembly, has issued an Expression of Interest for a Parliamentary Policy Advisor/Consultant to serve for a period of twelve months. The consultancy is intended to support ongoing reform efforts within the House of Assembly by providing high-level policy advice, procedural guidance and assistance with legislative drafting and governance matters.
According to the House of Assembly release, the successful advisor will work closely with the Speaker and the Clerk to advise on parliamentary procedure, help develop and execute a proactive policy agenda, and prepare and draft policies to strengthen legislative capacity, transparency and responsiveness.
The role also includes advising on legislation and related issues and offering guidance on the planning and conduct of parliamentary business. EOIs must be submitted in a non-editable format to the Clerk, Mrs. Submissions are due no later than 30th January 2026. The release stresses that it is the bidder's responsibility to ensure the Clerk receives their submission before the deadline; late submissions will not be accepted for evaluation.
