Government Seeks Tenders for Essential Generator Support

In a strategic move to bolster the infrastructure of the Elmore Stoutt High School (ESHS) in Road Town, Tortola, the Government of the Virgin Islands, through the Ministry of Education, Youth Affairs & Sports, has launched a call for tenders for the construction of a reinforced concrete slab.
Slated to provide a robust and level foundation for a generator, this project underscores the government's commitment to ensuring a seamless and uninterrupted educational experience for the students and staff at ESHS. The detailed specifications for the construction project highlight a slab measuring 16 feet 6 inches in length, 7 feet 6 inches in width, and 8 inches in thickness.
Designed to meet the highest standards of safety, environmental care, and structural integrity, the slab will serve as a critical support for the generator, thus safeguarding the school's operations against power outages. Eligible contractors wishing to participate in this tender are required to have a valid trade license, certificates of good standing with Inland Revenue, Social Security, and the National Health Insurance.

A mandatory site visit scheduled for Thursday, 28th August 2025, at 11:00 a.m., will provide prospective tenderers with an opportunity to assess the project scope at the ESHS New Block.
