Govi Invites Tenders for Petrol and Diesel
The Government of the Virgin Islands (GOVI) has issued a Request for Quotation inviting qualified suppliers to tender for the supply and delivery of petrol and diesel to two RVIPF locations on Tortola, with a virtual pre-tender meeting set for 8 May 2026 and bids due by 10:00 a.m. on 26 May 2026. The Government of the Virgin Islands (GOVI) has formally invited tenders for the supply and delivery of petrol and diesel to the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF), the government said in a public release. The contract covers deliveries to two specified Tortola locations: the Road Town Station and the Virgin Islands Law Enforcement Marine Base.
According to the BVI Government notice, detailed locations and requirements are set out in attached appendices to the Request for Quotation (RFQ). The successful firm will be expected to deliver fuel in accordance with the terms and conditions of the RFQ and to meet the operational needs of both land and marine police services.
GOVI emphasises that the contractor will be responsible not only for regular fuel deliveries but for proactive maintenance of all fuel tank(s) and fuel pump(s). Tenderers must be prepared to promptly replace equipment as necessary to ensure uninterrupted continuity of the fuel supply for essential law enforcement operations.
Bid documents are available Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will be sent electronically on request. Bidders should email procurement@gov.vg with the subject line “Supply and Delivery of Petrol and Diesel for Royal Virgin Islands Police” to receive the RFQ. The government warns that this destination mailbox does not send automated dated or time-stamped acknowledgements; bidders are responsible for following up with the procurement coordinator if they do not receive confirmation within two working days.
A virtual pre-tender meeting is scheduled for Friday, 8 May 2026 at 10:00 a.m. local time. All prospective tenderers are invited to attend; access codes and passwords for the Webex meeting will be provided before the session. The virtual meeting will be followed by a site visit to the relevant facilities.
Interested firms must submit one original, three copies and one flash drive containing their bid documents. The original should be sealed and marked "ORIGINAL," additional copies sealed and marked "COPIES," and both placed inside an outer envelope marked "Tender for Supply and Delivery of Petrol and Diesel for Royal Virgin Islands Police." All bids must be deposited by bearer in the Tender Box at the Ministry of Finance (Procurement Unit), Rita Frett Georges Building, 2nd Floor, Waterfront Drive, Road Town, Tortola, by no later than 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, 26 May 2026; late submissions will not be accepted.
Tenders will be opened publicly at 11:00 a.m. on 26 May 2026 at the Procurement Unit, and tenderers may observe the opening via Webex using access details supplied in advance. The Government of the Virgin Islands does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender and will not defray costs incurred by tenderers.
