Jost Lime and Dine Kicks Off
The BVI Tourist Board and Film Commission will launch the third Jost Lime and Dine as part of the monthlong BVI Food Fete from Feb. 14 to March 14, with 14 Jost Van Dyke restaurants participating. Special ferry schedules, themed opening and finale nights, complimentary tastings and promotional fares aim to make evening dining on Jost more accessible to both residents and visitors.
The British Virgin Islands Tourist Board (BVITB) and Film Commission have announced the third annual Jost Lime and Dine series, running Feb. 14 through March 14, that will feature 14 Jost Van Dyke establishments opening for evening dining, music and nightlife. The Valentine’s Day launch night, themed "Lover’s Lime," will welcome guests at the West End Ferry Dock with complimentary roses from BVITB, a wine tasting by TICO, a red-carpet photo opportunity, giveaways and a soulful serenade by top vocalist Cal J just before departure.
Couples who attend can enter a photo contest for a chance to win tickets to the next BVI Food Fete event, Taste of Virgin Gorda, which starts Feb. 28. Organised in partnership with the Jost Van Dyke community, the initiative highlights the island’s distinctive evening dining culture and supports local hospitality businesses.
To make same-night visits more practical, BVITB has arranged a dedicated 10:45 p.m. return ferry operated by New Horizon Ferry — an option that was previously more limited to overnight guests. A departing ferry from Tortola has also been adjusted to 6:30 p.m. to give diners additional time to reach the West End dock. "We have continued to consult closely with the Jost Van Dyke community as we strive to enhance the Jost Lime and Dine experience," Tourism Director Clive L.
McCoy said. "Their feedback was clear, extending the departure time from West End and hosting the event on both Fridays and Saturdays would make the experience even more accessible." He urged visitors and residents alike to enjoy Jost Van Dyke in the evening at an affordable cost and to support participating restaurants.
Participating venues are A&B Restaurant, Abe’s By The Sea, Ali Baba’s, Alice’s, Coco Loco’s, Cool Breeze, Foxy’s Taboo, Foxy’s Tamarind Bar, Gertrude’s, Harris’ Place, Hendo’s Hideout, Ivan’s Stress Free, Pinky’s Delight and Tipsy Shark. The series will close on March 14 with "Tropical Glow Night." Guests will be welcomed at the West End dock with music by DJ Nixx the Mix, a performance by BVI Optimum Skydancers, complimentary cocktails by TICO, a photo booth and giveaways; arriving guests will receive glow-themed party items and a TICO welcome cocktail.
Special round-trip ferry fares are available: $20 with proof of reservation at a participating restaurant through BVITB’s Jost Lime & Dine booking service, or $30 without proof. The Jost Lime and Dine is part of the wider BVI Food Fete series, which also includes BVI Restaurant Week on Tortola (Oct. 19-23) and the Anegada Lobster Fest (Nov. 27-29).
