Jost Van Dyke Customer Service Centre Opens
The Office of the Deputy Governor has officially opened a new Customer Service Care Centre on Jost Van Dyke to improve access to public services. The initiative fulfills a government commitment to deliver equal, high-quality service across the Sister Islands. Residents attended an open house on Tuesday to meet the staff and learn about the available resources.
The Office of the Deputy Governor has officially marked a major milestone in public service delivery with the opening of a new Customer Service Care Centre on Jost Van Dyke, fulfilling a key 2025 commitment to the island's community. The establishment of the facility aims to bridge the gap between central administrative operations on Tortola and residents living on the Sister Islands, ensuring direct access to government services and assistance without the immediate need for inter-island travel.
Archer Jr. expressed immense pride in the achievement, noting that the opening represents a defining moment in the transformation of public sector delivery. He emphasized that the overarching vision remains focused on ensuring that public services across all islands are met with the highest standard of care, dedication, and attention.
Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Deputy Governor, Sharleen S. DaBreo-Lettsome, also welcomed the development, noting that the administration is eager to support the community and hopes residents will actively utilize the new resources. To mark the occasion, an Open House was held on Tuesday, welcoming Jost Van Dyke residents to tour the facility, meet the customer care team, ask questions, and share their feedback.
The event served as an interactive platform to reassure residents that community voices are valued in shaping modern public service initiatives. The Jost Van Dyke launch follows the opening of a fully operational Customer Service Care Centre on Virgin Gorda in July 2025. The government has confirmed that efforts are continuing to further expand this network, with plans underway to establish a similar Customer Service Care Centre on Anegada in the near future.
