Kacey McKella Joins Food, Wine & Rum
Mixologist Kacey McKella will appear at the Village Cay and Rhythm + Sands Food, Wine & Rum Festival from Oct. 17–19, offering mixology demonstrations and workshops. Activities continue through the weekend with cooking showcases, mixology workshops, and a weekend finale that includes a chef competition, a champagne brunch and a fireworks display. McKella arrives with formal credentials as a certified bartender and advanced training in mixology, liquors and wines, and brings two years’ experience working in high-volume bar environments.
Known for precision and creativity, he will present cocktails that blend classic technique with modern Caribbean influences. “I’m looking forward to bringing a fresh mixology experience to this year’s festival,” McKella said. “It’s a great opportunity to connect with other professionals and celebrate the art of good food and drink.” For BVI residents the festival offers more than tasting opportunities.
