According to a press release dated September 5, 2025, the fellowship is designed to provide three promising writers with a comprehensive mentorship experience. Participants will be paired with established authors and publishing professionals for a three-month virtual mentorship program.

The program is open to citizens, belongers, and residents of the Virgin Islands who are 18 years of age and older. Interested individuals are required to fill out an application form available at the BVI Lit Fest website and submit their writing samples in either Word or PDF format.
The deadline for submission is set for September 30, 2025, with the winners to be announced at the 2025 BVI Lit Fest. Selected fellows will have the chance to attend all mentorship sessions, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience.
