Man Charged Following Cannabis Seizure in Baugher’s
A 35-year-old man, identified by police as Milford Todman Jr., has been charged with possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply after officers say they found suspected cannabis during a patrol in Baugher’s Bay. The RVIPF says the man was arrested after a vehicle search and granted $20,000 bail; he is due back in court on June 30, 2026.
Road Town, Tortola — A 35-year-old man has been charged after police say they discovered a quantity of suspected cannabis during a patrol in Baugher’s Bay last week. According to a report from Guavaberry, officers from the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) were conducting patrols in the area on Friday, June 19, when they observed Milford Todman Jr. exiting a red Kia Soul.
Police said officers detected a strong odour consistent with cannabis coming from the vehicle. Guavaberry reported that a search of Todman allegedly produced a quantity of suspected cannabis on his person. Officers then searched the vehicle and reportedly found a backpack containing additional suspected cannabis.
The total amount seized was approximately 385 grams of suspected cannabis, the RVIPF said in a press release dated June 25, 2026, published via VINO. The force identified the accused in that release as 35-year-old Milford Todman Jr. Todman was arrested at the scene and taken to the Road Town Police Station for processing.
He has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Drug with Intent to Supply in relation to the seizure and was granted bail in the amount of $20,000. He is scheduled to appear in court on June 30, 2026. In its June 25 statement, the RVIPF described the seizure as part of routine patrol work aimed at keeping communities safe and disrupting illegal drug supply networks.
The force did not provide a detailed breakdown of the seized material or outline any further investigative steps, saying only that the matter is before the courts. The RVIPF continues to appeal to members of the public for assistance in combating illegal drug activity and other criminal offences.
