Miss BVI Contestants Revealed at 'Waves of

The Road to the Crown officially kicked off on the evening of Friday, May 29, 2026, when the young women competing for the title of Miss British Virgin Islands 2026 were formally introduced at the 'Waves of Elegance' launch held on the Cyril B. Romney Tortola Pier Park lawn, VINO reported.
At the launch ceremony the Honourable Luce D. Hodge-Smith, Junior Minister for Culture and Tourism, addressed contestants and the community, urging participants to embrace the responsibility of representing the Territory. She encouraged them to bring to life the pageant's theme, 'Celebrating Waves of Culture, Beauty, and Legacy,' and said contestants were actively keeping BVI culture, history and traditions alive (VINO).
Organisers also confirmed the reinstatement of an educational scholarship as the top prize for 2026. The scholarship covers four years of tertiary study and is valued at $80,000. The winner will also receive a brand-new 2027 Haval Jolion, provided courtesy of the Office of the Premier in partnership with Alphonso Enterprise Ltd, and a custom-designed crown and sceptre crafted by House of Luxury, according to information shared by the pageant committee (VINO).
Following the launch, the pageant committee outlined a summer schedule of events leading to the crowning. Highlights include the Royal Court Cultural Fun Day and Fish Fry set for Saturday, June 20, 2026, beginning at 11:00 AM at the First Impressions School Grounds, with the Road to the Crown culminating in the crowning of Miss British Virgin Islands 2026 on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Festival Village as part of the Emancipation Festival celebrations (VINO).
