Mourant Annual Giving Day Returns
Offshore law firm Mourant has opened applications for its Annual Giving Day, inviting registered BVI non-profits to apply for funding. Applications are due by November 10, 2026, and selected organisations will receive grants in December 2026.
Mourant has announced the return of its Annual Giving Day, a yearly initiative that donates funds to support non-profit organisations across the British Virgin Islands. The firm said Giving Day has become an established fixture in the VI calendar and that the programme is designed to recognise and support the valuable work of local charities and community groups.
In 2025, Mourant provided funding to 11 non-profit organisations under the initiative. Mourant BVI Managing Partner Eleanor Morgan said: "The Mourant Annual Giving Day is an opportunity for us to recognise and contribute to the invaluable work being carried out by local non-profits across the BVI.
We are proud to continue the initiative this year and look forward to supporting projects that have a lasting and positive impact in our community." Local non-profits wishing to apply should submit a written application by email to kadeem.hodge@mourant.com. Each submission must include a description of what the requested funds will be used for or the project(s) requiring funding, the amount of funding being requested, and a copy of the organisation's registered Non-Profit Organisation Certificate.
The application window closes on November 10, 2026. All applications will be reviewed by Mourant's BVI Partners and the firm's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee. Selected beneficiary organisations will be notified and receive funding in December 2026. For community groups and charities in the BVI, Mourant's Giving Day represents a reliable source of project and operational support.
Past recipients have included a range of local organisations that deliver services and programmes benefiting education, youth development, social services and community resilience, and residents are encouraged to consider whether their projects align with Mourant's objective of creating lasting, positive impact.
Organisations preparing to apply should ensure their Non-Profit Organisation Certificate is current and that their project descriptions and budget requests are clear and specific. Timely, complete applications will assist the review committee in assessing needs across the Territory.
