Pier Park Unveils Holiday Lineup

Organisers say the season will include enhanced security and a new adults-only 'Grown & Lit' area to improve the visitor experience.
Romney Tortola Pier Park announced its November and December schedule during a press conference on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, revealing a series of events aimed at locals and visitors through the holiday season. Highlights include the New Year’s Eve Artist Launch on Friday, November 14 under the theme "All That Glitters"; Winter Wonderland (On The Lawn) running from November 14 to December 28; Black Fri‑Sat Super Sales on November 14–15; the Christmas Tree Lighting on Saturday, November 15; and Fungi Fest 2025 on November 15, a cultural showcase celebrating Virgin Islands fungi music, traditional food and heritage.
Walcott said this year’s New Year’s Eve programme will be presented differently, combining local and regional talent. "New Year's Eve, we actually have four local artists and bands, two DJs, but this time around, we've done it a little differently. We are bringing two regional acts," she said.
An official launch on November 14 will reveal the regional performers and further details about the NYE line‑up. Walcott also announced a new adults‑focused area, dubbed the "Grown & Lit" section. "We've done some changes this year in that we are utilising the luxury deck, and we're utilising the lawn for the artist's performance.
So in the past, it would have been the lawn and the boardwalk. Now we've removed the movies, and we're having the artist perform by the BVI sign," she explained. The change follows feedback from guests who asked for a space where adults can socialise separately from family areas. Organisers emphasised that the events will feature vendors, entertainment and extended hours, making the Pier Park a central hub for seasonal activity and a draw for visitors to Road Town.
In response to a recent rise in crime across the Virgin Islands, CEO Vance M. Lewis outlined steps taken to safeguard patrons. He said Pier Park management has held regular meetings with the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force and a private security firm to identify vulnerabilities and prepare contingency plans. "They have been extremely cooperative in terms of helping us look at perhaps areas of vulnerability, and in terms of anticipating some of the issues that we might have, should it happen, and spread the word around, so we prepped, since a facility can be full of vendors and passengers, et cetera," Lewis said.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to mark their calendars for the November 14 launch and to follow Pier Park communications for schedules, vendor lists and any safety advisories as the season approaches.
