According to official reports from Basseterre, Prime Minister Drew presented himself to the Joseph N.
France (JNF) General Hospital after experiencing symptoms that included mild discomfort, nausea, and headaches. He was immediately admitted by attending physicians for comprehensive clinical evaluations and continuous medical observation. Following the initial assessment, medical practitioners decided, out of an abundance of caution, to transport Prime Minister Drew abroad for further specialized monitoring.
Drew was flown overseas, where he remains in stable condition, fully alert, and in good spirits as medical professionals continue to evaluate his health. Drew’s hospitalization while currently abroad leading the inaugural Virgin Islands Trade Mission to India, an initiative aimed at strengthening bilateral investment and trade opportunities for the Territory.
