Register to Vote Before August 28
The Office of the Supervisor of Elections has set Friday, August 28, 2026 as the final day to register ahead of the 2026 Preliminary Voters List. Eligible Belongers aged 18 and over who are domiciled in the Virgin Islands must present original identity documents and should update their registration if they have moved.

To qualify to register, applicants must be a Belonger as defined under Section 2(2) of The Virgin Islands Constitution Order, 2007, be at least 18 years of age, and be domiciled in the Virgin Islands. Officials stressed that proof of identity and status must be provided when registering in person.
When registering in person applicants are required to present one of the following original documents: a Virgin Islands passport bearing the embossed seal A Belonger Card A Belonger Certificate A Naturalisation Certificate dated before June 15, 2007 Registration and voter transfer forms are available from multiple locations across the Territory: the Office of the Supervisor of Elections in Road Town, the Road Town Post Office, the District Offices on Anegada and Virgin Gorda, and the Government Office on Jost Van Dyke.

Residents are encouraged to schedule an appointment to avoid delays by contacting the Public Service Customer Service Care Centre at (284) 468-3701 or by booking online through the Government’s appointment portal.
Booking ahead is particularly useful in the days approaching the deadline, when offices may be busier than usual. Registered voters who have moved within the Territory are urged to update their registration by applying for a transfer to their new electoral district or polling division.
Acceptable proof of residence for transfers includes utility bills (cable, water, electricity, telephone), a rent receipt, a lease agreement, or a notarised document confirming the applicant’s new address. With the registration deadline approaching, election officials remind residents to check their documents, bring originals when registering in person, and act promptly to ensure their right to vote is preserved for 2026.
