Republic Bank has warned customers about a fraudulent webpage falsely claiming to offer a cash prize while attempting to collect personal information. The bank says the site is not affiliated with Republic Bank and urges customers not to click or share the link and to contact the bank immediately if they have submitted any information.
Republic Bank has issued a warning to customers after identifying a fraudulent webpage that falsely claims to be from the bank and offers a cash prize as bait to collect personal information. In a notice dated December 12, 2025, the bank said the website is NOT affiliated with Republic Bank and advised the public to treat the page as malicious.
The bank said its team is working together with the relevant authorities to have the page removed, but in the interim customers are urged not to click on or share the link. Anyone who may already have entered personal or financial details is asked to contact Republic Bank immediately at 1-284-494-4725 (4RBL) or by email at republicbank.bvi@rfhl.com. "Your security is our priority.
Stay vigilant and always verify before you share personal information online," Republic Bank said in the notice. The statement underscores ongoing concerns about online scams that target residents in the British Virgin Islands and the wider region by impersonating trusted institutions.
BVI residents should take these practical steps if they encounter the suspicious page or believe they may be affected: do not click any links or download attachments from the message, do not provide further personal information, and take screenshots or save the suspicious link for reporting.
