The Robert Mathavious Institute (RMI) at H. Lavity Stoutt Community College will host a series of three high-impact compliance masterclasses from November 3-5 at the RMI Training Room in Port Purcell, Tortola. Each session will run from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and carries a fee of $300, organisers said in a release reported by Virgin Islands News Online (VINO).
The visiting instructor is Mr Tyler, Vice President of the International Compliance Association and a recognised global authority on compliance and risk management. HLSCC described his visit as bringing "world-class expertise directly to the Territory," a move VINO reported will give local professionals access to internationally informed guidance and practical tools.
The masterclasses follow a focused daily programme. On Monday, November 3, Mr Tyler will examine New Technologies & Financial Crime, exploring how innovations in payments, data systems and digital channels shape money-laundering risks and detection strategies. On Tuesday, November 4, participants will study Embracing AI in Compliance, covering practical applications and governance challenges associated with artificial intelligence in compliance operations.
The series concludes on Wednesday, November 5, with a session dedicated to Risk Assessment & Beneficial Ownership, addressing methodologies for identifying risk and meeting evolving beneficial ownership transparency expectations.
