Twelve Auxiliaries Promoted to Constable
Twelve auxiliary officers in the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force have been promoted to the rank of Police Constable, strengthening the force's operational capacity. The promotions, effective November 14, 2025, come alongside the reinstatement of two officers to full duty.
Twelve auxiliary officers in the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) were promoted to the rank of Police Constable on Friday, November 14, 2025, the force announced in a press release. The officers elevated to Police Constable are: Aldaine Roberts Anderson Cherubin Arshmer Mitchell Craig Charles Deborah Joseph Donnique Billingy Laurel Velox Augustin Omar Grey Oneka Gordon Shavonnie Turnbull Sheriss Telemaque Stanley Ibechem Acting Commissioner of Police Jacqueline Vanterpool congratulated the newly appointed constables and urged them to uphold high standards as they assume greater duties. "This transition marks an important milestone, but it also comes with renewed expectations.

The promotions form part of the RVIPF’s ongoing effort to strengthen operational capacity and enhance public safety across the Virgin Islands.
The force said the moves were made in line with available vacancies and its commitment to career development for members who began as auxiliary officers. These officers originate from Cohort 6, a group that was sworn in as auxiliary officers in October 2022 after completing an eight-month training programme and graduating in June 2023.
In August 2024 five members of that cohort were already advanced to Police Constable; the latest promotions complete the progression for the remaining eligible members of the cohort. In addition to the promotions, the RVIPF confirmed the reinstatement of Officer Andrea Legair and Officer Eric Ollivierre, both returning to full duty effective November 14, 2025.
The force extended congratulations to the newly appointed constables and to the reinstated officers, noting their roles will support community policing and operational readiness.
