Two Government Departments Announce Temporary Relocation
The Ministry of Health and Social Development has announced the temporary relocation of the Public Health Unit and the Department of Waste Management. Members of the public are advised that while physical office locations have changed, all existing contact numbers will remain the same to ensure continuity of service.
The Ministry of Health and Social Development has notified the Virgin Islands public regarding the temporary relocation of two key government divisions: the Public Health Unit and the Department of Waste Management. According to an official advisory issued by the Ministry, the Public Health Unit will operate from the Ground Floor of the Social Development Department Building.
This facility is located on Station Avenue, directly adjacent to the Environmental Health Division. Meanwhile, the Department of Waste Management has been temporarily relocated to the Ministry of Health and Social Development offices situated at Voronica's House of Commerce in Long Bush.
Officials confirmed that despite the change in physical office spaces, all existing telephone numbers, hotline contacts, and direct communication channels for both departments will remain fully operational and unchanged. This measure aims to help residents, contractors, and local businesses reach departmental staff without experiencing administrative delays.
The Ministry expressed its apologies for any inconvenience the relocation process may cause and reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining essential public services. Officials assured residents that every effort is actively being made to minimize service disruptions throughout the transition period.
