VI Ambassadors Capture More Awards at Mrs
Two representatives from the British Virgin Islands, Shakima (Shackema) Baptiste-Henry and Kimberly A. Herbert, added several international honours at the Mrs Globe pageant, including a first-ever People's Choice win for the Territory. Herbert were crowned Mrs BVI Curvé Globe and Mrs BVI Globe, respectively, and went on to represent the BVI on the global stage. New reports from Virgin Islands News Online (VINO) detail further awards the pair collected at the pageant’s ceremony. According to VINO, Shakima Baptiste-Henry captured the People’s Choice Award for Mrs Curvé Globe 2026 — a milestone that makes her the first BVI representative to win that category at Mrs Globe.
VINO also reports that she finished as 2nd Runner-Up in her category, received the Most Charismatic Award, and placed in the Top 3 for Best Evening Gown, honours that reflect strong audience support, stage presence and elegance. VINO reports she earned 2nd Runner-Up in the People’s Choice category for Mrs Globe and was presented with the Humanitarian Award in recognition of her commitment to community service and advocacy.
The Humanitarian Award underscores Herbert’s dedication to causes that matter in the BVI and beyond. The pageant also recognised the partners who support contestants. VINO notes that Baptiste-Henry’s husband, Jermaine Henry — also known as "Mr Alpha Fitness" — was nominated for Husband of the Year, a nod to the encouragement and support he offers his wife throughout the competition.
The organisers and directors in the Territory have publicly celebrated the achievements. In a Facebook post shared by Mrs British Virgin Islands and reported by VINO, WINBVI Director Alicia Green wrote: "Watching these women represent the British Virgin Islands on the world stage has been an absolute joy.

Shakima's People's Choice victory is especially meaningful, and Kimberly's Humanitarian Award speaks volumes about the calibre of women we continue to produce and support through this organisation." WINBVI highlighted Baptiste-Henry’s People’s Choice victory and praised Herbert’s humanitarian recognition.
