The British Virgin Islands Football Association (BVIFA) celebrated the result, describing it as a dominant performance from start to finish.
The territory's national squad controlled possession, applied relentless attacking pressure, and remained resolute in defense to record a clean sheet against their regional rivals. The victory capped off a positive and unbeaten run in the second round of the Concacaf International Friendly Series.
Earlier in the tour, the VI squad rallied to earn a hard-fought 1-1 draw against the host nation, Cayman Islands. In that opening fixture, the team demonstrated resilience after falling behind in the seventh minute to a free kick by Shakur Silburn. Jauvan Splatt brought the VI level in the 20th minute, skillfully fighting off a defender and advancing past the goalkeeper to chip the ball into an empty net.
This latest triumph continues a strong competitive momentum for the national program against Caribbean opposition. The team previously snapped a long winless streak in November 2025 during the opening round of the series, when they defeated the Cayman Islands 2-1 at the same venue.
